Since many year’s the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS shows fascinating videomappings on historical buildings in Berlin. The productions which activly incorporate the architecture of the buildings create this very special FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS charm and fill visitors from all over the world with enthusiasm. More and more designer and artists try themselves at the unique interaction between reality and illusion.
After the great success of the 1st Berlin FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS AWARD 2015 on “Brandenburg Gate” and the 2nd Berlin FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS AWARD 2016 on the “Berlin TV tower” we are proud to announce the 3rd international competition:
3rd Festival of Lights International Projection Mapping Championship
For the very first time the Berlin Cathedral, one of the best known landmarks of Berlin and Germany, will be the venue for a creative and innovative mapping competition with the latest technology. National and international artists transfered their visions of the future about the festival’s motto “Creating Tomorrow” into 3D- videomappings. 11 artists from 5 different countries create a breathtaking 3D- videomapping show, which will be shown from 6th – 15th October 2017 daily, 7:00 pm to 12:00 pm. You can be excited to see 25 minutes of international creativity build around the topic of “future”. Each single story is spectacular, entertaining and has it’s unique core.
From the 6th of October on you are able to vote for your favorite artist.
