Forgotten place awakes – Bärenquell brewery in Schöneweide shines
The Bärenquell Brewery, one of the largest and oldest “Lost Places” in Berlin, is the ideal place to celebrate unity, freedom and creativity. The colourful collages of the Festival of Lights provided an excellent opportunity to celebrate the present and future of East Berlin and the Treptow-Köpenick district. This was made possible by the project developer of the area, HCM. The fans of the bright pictures could see with their own eyes how the abandoned brewery awakened to new life after 25 years. On the one hand, the pictures showed the history of the location with its tasks and workers. On the other hand, colourful graffiti and an atmospheric panorama of the city drew a bow to the present.
