The future belongs to a common Europe

Federal Ministries and Federal Press Office shine a light for a strong tomorrow

At this year’s Festival of Lights, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development has celebrated the two-year anniversary of the Green Button. The government textile seal Green Button was launched in September 2019 by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The Green Button sets binding requirements to protect people and the environment. If you want to buy sustainable socially and ecologically produced clothing, look out for the Green Button!

The second motif presented the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). What can be our contribution to climate protection, fair standards in the world of work and against hunger and poverty? The 2030 Agenda with its 17 goals serves as a guide. This was adopted by 193 heads of state and government at the United Nations Summit in New York on September 25, 2015. The 2030 Agenda is a “global future treaty”. With this treaty, the states commit themselves to ensuring a life in dignity for all people by the year 2030.
