On the occasion of the reopening of the State Opera Unter den Linden, there will be a cooperation with the Festival of Lights for the very first time. Thereby, the façade of the State Opera will be illuminated by an elaborately animated 3D-videoprojection, which leads within 5 minutes throughout the rich, 275 years old history of the house, illustrating the transformation of the Opera from 1742 until today in spectacular images. The considerable media- and light artist, Andreas Hauslaib, could be gained with his team for the realization. The bow stretches from the idea of King Friedrich II., to establish an Opera house at the new forum Fridericianum, over the exemplary historical milestones such as the modifications in the 19th and early 20th centenary, until the present day.
