The Official World Championship of Projection Mapping

Since many years the Festival of Lights is showing breathtaking video mappings on historic buidlings of the german capital: Berlin. The stagings which are actively involving the architecture of the buildings are fascinating visitors and fans from all over the world. This is how the magic of the Festival of Lights is based on.

Since 2015 the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF PROJECTION MAPPING is a permanent feature of the Festival of Lights. The best video mapping artists of the world are competing against each other and are presenting their visions on world famous landmarks. A winner will be elected by the audience.

Besides creative themes, the international artists get the chance to perform their mappings every year on a different amazing building. In 2015, the premiere of the World Championship took place on the most important landmark of the Berlin: the Brandenburg Gate. In the following year, the tallest building of Germany, the Berlin TV tower, was the place to be. In 2017, the Berlin Cathedral has been used for this program highlight.

This year we were happy to announce that the World Championship of Projection Mapping will take place on the Kollhoff-Tower at the Potsdamer Platz. The following overview reveals already past and future championships.
