For the first time, the Festival of Lights is bringing its luminous magic to the Bavarian capital – and for a very special occasion. As part of IAA MOBILITY 2025, Munich will join the Festival of Lights family.

From 9 to 13 September 2025, between 8:00 and 11:00 p.m., selected facades in the heart of the city will be transformed into breathtaking works of light art. Artistic projections will invite visitors to take an evening stroll filled with wonder and inspiration.

In the spotlight will be some of Munich’s most iconic buildings:

The Old Town Hall, The State Library, and The Residenz courtyards.
