2023

On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Potsdamer Platz presented a particularly impressive projection display at its imposing entrance. The square was transformed into a radiant work of art through building and floor projections. Visitors were able to immerse themselves in this fascinating world of colours, ornaments and flowers and also experience how Potsdamer Platz shone in a special radiance.

2022

Potsdamer Platz is an urban centre for Berlin’s dynamic community. A place full of positive energy in harmony with global and local cultural developments. The festival featured a total of 11 light art productions on the theme of “Urban Nature”. Five-metre-high PEONEYs with delicate, colourful plays of light, FLORAISONs, artistic poppies or trees illuminated in the style of the Indian summer.

2021

“Creating Tomorrow” was the overall motto of all the installations at Quartier Potsdamer Platz, emblazoned in large letters across the square. The installations stretched from Hauptplatz to Alte Potsdamer Straße, Marlene-Dietrich-Platz and Pianosee.

On the opening weekend of 2021, the light giant DUNDU was an additional guest. DUNDU literally means “you and you” and thus stands for a great statement in times when togetherness is very important. The light giant amazes people all over the world and is a mighty screen onto which visitors can project their fantasies, dreams and wishes.

2020

Potsdamer Platz was once again transformed into a magnificent Gesamtkunstwerk. Highlights were the oversized light sculptures L.O.V.E. and UNITY as well as the large-scale projections on the Kollhoff and Forum Tower. In Alte Potsdamer Straße, 140 light blossoms adorned the treetops and luminous swans danced a ballet on the Piano Lake.

2018

A unique panorama production including the world’s only “World Championship of Projection Mapping” on the Kollhoff Tower was one of the festival highlights in 2018. Potsdamer Platz was illuminated with artistic large-scale projections for its 20th anniversary.
