ASB-Wünschewagen

„Wünschewagen – Letzte Wünsche wagen“
This project by the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund has been running for over ten years in whole Germany and has already made well over 7,000 last wishes come true. With a team oft wo full-time staff and more than 50 volunteers, the ASB-Wünschewagen is also active in Berlin.
Our volunteers all have a medical background and are also specially trained for their tasks on these very special trips. Thanks to their high level of professional expertise, their great commitment, and their big hearts, every trip to fulfill a last wish is a very valuable memory.
The vehicle is similar to an ambulance. But furthermore, it is specially adapted to the needs of the passengers – special shock absorbers, panoramic windows and a harmonious concept of light and colors make the journey a pleasant experience. At the same time, it is equipped with modern emergency medical equipment.

The ASB-Wünschewagen project is funded exclusively by donations and is only possible thanks to our volunteers. The trips are free of charge for passengers and accompanying persons. Donations help us to finance travel costs to the desired destinations, trainings and uniforms for the volunteers, and the purchase and equipping of the vehicles.
The Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) Berlin provides foreign aid and humanitarian help in more than 30 countries. In cooperation with its partner organisations, the ASB is engaged on four continents to support people in need. Within Germany, the ASB operates in care facilities, kindergartens, offers medical services at events, and has a wide range of social projects, such as the ASB-Wünschewagen. The aim of the ASB is to support people in difficult life situations. Every bit of support helps to make humanity visible and make last wishes come true.
