Program
As a format with power requirements, we have a special responsibility in these times. That’s why we have developed a New Edition that does justice to this. We have reduced our electricity consumption by 75% compared to previous years. As before, the core of the new concept was great international light art. Last year, we will focused on around 35 venues and offered a colorful, fascinating program with around 70 works of light art.
Each location was staged in an even more colorful, diverse and impressive way. Either with several 3D video art or – brand new – with light sculptures that required only little power thanks to LED technology. The 18th FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS took place from October 7th- 16th, 2022 in the core time from 7 to 11 pm.
Included were:
Charlottenburg Palace, Potsdamer Platz, Brandenburg Gate, Bebelplatz, Lustgarten, Humboldt Forum, Nikolaiviertel, Berlin TV Tower, and several more.
