12. Humboldt Forum – East Facade

The Palace of the Republic lives on as a place of remembrance and history. It will reappear for the Festival of Lights 2024 – this time as a time machine on the east facade of the Humboldt Forum, opening in 2021 on the site of the former palace. Using revolutionary AI technology, the media artist duo CyberRäuber will project impressive video art that transports visitors to a past palace universe. The ‘Palace of Memory’ projection extends the mixed reality experience, which will run until February 2025 alongside the exhibition ‘Hin und Weg. The Palace of the Republic is Present” at the Humboldt Forum.
