Alte Nationalgalerie

At this year’s Festival of Lights, the colonnades of the Alte Nationalgalerie on Berlin’s Museum Island will be illuminated for the first time. The historic colonnades are transformed into a visual experience through captivating light projections by Berlin-based artist Dietmar Korth / Das Kalte Feuerwerk.

In a roughly 10-minute loop, video projections alternate with striking still images, giving the architecture a fascinating new interpretation. The animated sequences create the illusion that floors and walls are moving and merging into a completely new space.
