In 2025 Bebelplatz will once again shine as a radiant and indispensable hotspot of the Festival of Lights — a place where history and modernity come together in a truly impressive way.
Amidst the vibrant heart of Berlin, a fascinating dialogue emerges between classical architecture, contemporary art and urban energy.
Surrounded by architectural icons such as the Staatsoper, the Faculty of Law of Humboldt University, and St. Hedwig’s Cathedral, the Hotel de Rome and the Behren Palais will also be illuminated with artistic precision. Carefully choreographed projections transform these historic façades into stunning works of light art — part of a unified staging that immerses the entire square in a rich, atmospheric experience.
Festival of Lights Award 2025: “Colours in Bloom.” The art studio flora&faunavisions (TSC) transforms the historic façade of the Hotel de Rome into a vibrant spectacle of color and light.
With emotionally charged floral and abstract imagery, the projection brings the building’s façade to life. Light, form and color merge into a dynamic composition that celebrates freedom, creativity and the joy of artistic expression.
Each scene tells a story of vitality, openness, and imaginative growth — touching visitors on a deeply emotional level.
