On the 8th and 9th of October 2024, Berlin Cathedral will be the setting for a unique musical and visual experience: Paul van Dyk presents ‘Escape Reality’ in collaboration with the Festival of Lights Berlin team.

In this world premiere, Paul van Dyk will reinterpret highlights of his extraordinary career in an exclusive ambient live set. The audience can look forward to an impressive light and video installation in the sanctuary of the imposing Berlin Cathedral, which perfectly sets the scene for the musical journey. Classics such as For An Angel, Time Of Our Lives and Home will merge in a breathtaking audiovisual production to create a unique experience.

Paul van Dyk is a world-renowned DJ, producer and pioneer of electronic music. His career began in the early 1990s, when he achieved international fame with tracks such as ‘For an Angel’. Van Dyk is considered one of the first superstars of electronic music and has been honoured several times as the ‘World’s No. 1 DJ’, nominated for a GRAMMY and received the Order of Merit of the City of Berlin. With numerous albums, including ‘Out There and Back’, ‘In Between’ and ‘Guiding Light’, he has left his mark on the global dance scene and remains an influential figure in electronic music to this day.
