In addition to the annual World Championship of Projection Mapping, the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS also features other competitions.

In 2017, the Special Award was presented by the Federal President at Bellevue Castle and in 2018 E.ON presented the Special Awards on the television tower under the motto “Let’s create a better tomorrow”. Here, the audience decided who was crowned the winner.

In addition, the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Berlin has been organizing its own contest for several years now, for which worldwide artists and those who want to become artists are invited to submit their designs for the facade of the embassy building. The best 10 designs will then be projected onto the wall one after the other during the festival and visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite motif.
