Light Nights Augsburg 2021
The Light Nights in Augsburg are three days in October when the city is transformed into an extraordinary open-air work of art. History and art, time and space merge in a unique way through the magic of light. A very special light spectacle awaited visitors to Augsburg’s city center: the Rathausplatz and many other squares and streets were skilfully staged from October 22 to 24. Between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m., visitors could admire the projections and installations on the circular route.
We are very happy to realize the Augsburg Light Nights together with Augsburg Marketing and many artists and partners. 2021 was again a great success!

Light Nights Augsburg 2019
On October 26 and 27, a very special light spectacle awaited locals and guests alike in Augsburg’s city center: the Light Nights Augsburg. These took place for the first time in Augsburg and skillfully set the scene for the Town Hall Square as well as Philippine-Welser-Strasse and Fuggerplatz on the last weekend in October.
Between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. on both days, various videos, 3D animations and artistic graphic elements were projected onto Augsburg’s City Hall, the Perlachturm and the Eckerle-Haus, not only picking up on the UNESCO World Heritage theme but also on different motifs from all over Augsburg. The show, which lasted about ten minutes, was repeated every 20 minutes, and the buildings remained illuminated between the breaks.
In addition, light sculptures lit the way from Rathausplatz via Philippine-Welser-Strasse to Fuggerplatz. The special thing here is that the artistic illuminations combined to form a unique total work of art made of light.
