19. Saint Hedwig’s Cathedral
Architectural staging
St. Hedwig’s Cathedral is highlighted with an impressive architectural display. On November 24, 2024, the cathedral will officially reopen. Heaven and earth seem to touch within the newly designed interior beneath the magnificent dome.
As the bishop’s church of the Archdiocese of Berlin, it stands as the first Catholic church in Berlin after the Reformation. The neighboring Bernhard Lichtenberg House will remain closed until the end of 2025.
On October 7, the Festival of Lights programme on the entire Bebelplatz will start at 9 pm.
