Ari Dykier

Ari Dykier is a Polish visual artist specialising in animation and projection mapping. After studying at Camerimage Film School, he focussed on developing animated visuals and has participated in a variety of festivals and events worldwide since 2013. His work, often inspired by surreal animation and vintage illustrations, creates dreamlike and fairytale-like experiences.

His best-known projects include his 360° installations and fulldome projections, which have been shown at renowned festivals such as the Patchlab Digital Art Festival and the Fulldome UK Festival. Ari has won several awards, including first prize at the Art Vision Contest in Moscow and the award for best art film at the Dome Under Festival in Melbourne. His innovative and visually captivating projections have secured him a permanent place in the international art scene and as an award-winning artist at the Festival of Lights.

Freedome gives us a chance to express ourselves, to be creative, it let us to feel happieness, joy and love. Freedom gives us the wings to take anywhere we want. It gives possibility to reach the sky. The work “Der Himmel” depicts humans having a chance to educate , to work on high end technology living along constructed androids , speaking their minds, fulfilling the dream of flying sky and living in love. Surreal flavour gives the balance between reality and dream giving the audience an opportunity to dive into oneiric state of mind and connect with their . My creation is some kind of hommage to Wim Wenders and my favourite movie “Der Himmel über Berlin”.
