Highlights in the City Center
- Rathausplatz: The projections on the Eckerle-Haus and the Perlachturm take you on a journey through the vast expanses of space. In addition to the spectacular shows from previous years, a new futuristic animation show will be presented on the town hall, bringing the historic building to life.
- Philippine-Welser-Straße: This picturesque shopping street shines with voluminous light. Shapes, colors, and a glowing starry sky give the historic buildings a new aura.
- Martin-Luther-Platz and Annakirche: Here, you are invited to get creative. Using a tablet, you can project colors and shapes onto the facade of the Annakirche.
- Königsbau at Königsplatz: This magnificent building enchants with an impressive 3D video mapping that transforms the facade into various shapes and structures. The theme “Space/Future” is also highlighted by an intergalactic greeting from the spaceship Enterprise to the city of Augsburg.
- McDonald’s at Königsplatz: The Pop Art graphics on the facade creatively and colorfully bring the “Space” theme to life.
- Moritzkirche: The four scheduled light and music performances in the Moritzkirche on Friday and Saturday of this year’s Light Nights are completely sold out. However, on Sunday, you can still experience the impressive light shows in the church’s unique atmosphere without live music.
- Augsburg City Market: The Augsburg city market is also participating in the Light Nights and will offer extended culinary options until 11 p.m. throughout the event. The atmospheric lighting invites visitors to stay and enjoy.
