Berlin is a city of diversity. There are countless exciting places that insiders and influencers say you have to see! The Festival of Lights team has put together a few special tips for places that are definitely worth a visit and that are especially close to our hearts.

A memory for all senses

To mark the 20th anniversary of the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS, the traditional spirits company MAMPE BERLIN, with almost 200 years of tradition, is creating the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS gin in an exclusive partnership. The basic recipes of both partners reach far back into the past and today more than ever stand for passion and quality. Just as MAMPE has a long tradition of inspiring other successful brands with its quality, the Festival of Lights has been inspiring an audience of millions with its unique light art for 20 years. The anniversary edition bottles bring the magic of the festival to life at home thanks to an integrated LED light. You can buy the gin in REWE stores or at mampe.berlin.

Exhibition EUROPA EXPERIENCE in the European House Berlin

Our very special Festival of Lights recommendation: Only a short walk from the Brandenburger Gate, the multimedia exhibition EUROPA EXPERIENCE offers visitors a virtual trip through Europe and the European Union. Interactive media stations offer a playful way of getting to know what the EU is, how it functions and how its citizens may influence its actions. An inspirational exhibition that you shouldn’t miss.

Berlin Cathedral

The dome of the Berlin Cathedral rises in the heart of the city. The monumental building was intended to be nothing less than Kaiser Wilhelm II’s Berlin answer to St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. The church room owes its incomparably magnificent design in the neo-Renaissance and neo-Baroque styles to this claim.

From the dome walkway you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view over Berlin.
