The concept of the “Tree of Life” (Spanish: “Árbol de la Vida”) is a significant element in Mexican folklore and cosmology. It is often depicted in Mexican folk art, particularly in ceramic sculptures. This tree serves as a bridge between different realms of existence. It symbolizes the connection between humanity and the natural world and represents the cyclical nature of life, death, and rebirth. The Tree of Life is often associated with the life force that sustains all living beings, signifying the interconnectedness of nature, humanity, and the divine. This symbolism aligns with the idea of the Earth as a nurturing mother and emphasizes the importance of maintaining harmony with the natural world.

Gabriel Vallecillo Marquez’s work spans multiple artistic disciplines. He began as a poet and transitioned to videopoetry, video jockeying, 3D projection mapping, live cinema, video installation, documentary filmmaking, and video performance. Throughout his creative career, he has published four volumes of poetry and has been included in Latin American anthologies. His video art installations have been featured at biennials in Ecuador, Panama, Nicaragua, and Honduras. His works have also been exhibited in Cuba, Italy, the USA, and Germany. His 3D projection mapping projects have been showcased in various European cities, earning the Audience Award at the 2017 Luz y Vanguardias Festival in Salamanca, Spain, and participating in the Festival of Lights in Berlin in 2019.
