Germany

Lars was born on 27th September 1969 in Überlingen. Since a motorcycle accident in 1991, he has been paralyzed from the neck down. He creates his paintings by using his mouth for painting. His artistic journey began at a rehabilitation clinic in Tübingen, where he delved into painting. From March 1997, he continued his artistic studies at the Free Academy of Art in Mühlhofen, successfully completing 8 semesters. In September 1999, he was admitted as a scholarship holder to the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists and became an associate member in March 2005. Since March 2007, he is a full member.

His modern and abstract paintings are captured in oil paint on canvas, sometimes using ink. His landscapes and still lifes draw upon techniques inspired by Paul Cezanne and naïve art. His nude paintings, on the other hand, are created using various techniques.
