9. Nikolai Quarter – Propststraße
Colourful Illumination
The history of Propstrasse dates deep into the past. It once housed the provostry of St. Nicholas Church as well as the residence of the clergy, and therefore it played an important role in the religious and social life of the city.
In modern times, Propstrasse has developed into a lively place that represents the wide spectrum of culture, enjoyment and commerce in this district. Here, tradition meets modernity, where historic buildings now house trendy stores, cozy cafes and art galleries.
The Festival of Lights transforms Propstrasse into a fascinating showcase of colors and lights. Colorful tree lights illuminate the street, creating a magical atmosphere that intrigues visitors. It is a wonderful example of how the history and heritage of a city can merge with contemporary creativity to form something really special.
