Kuwait
For the first time, The FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS International presented its light art projections in Kuwait, at the state-of-the-art Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Center! As part of its one-year anniversary, ASCC celebrated its birthday in the form of an extensive festival.
From February 21 to March 2, 2019, interactive activities with artists, exciting lectures, workshops as well as live performances took place at the cultural center to mark the occasion.
The FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS team was part of this massive birthday spectacle and supported the festivities for 9 evenings with an unforgettable 3D video mapping show on the facade of the cultural center. The projections were realized by the award-winning MP Studio from Sofia (Bulgaria) and let the viewers experience stories from inside the cultural center in a very special way.
The 3D projection mapping invited visitors on a journey through the history of Earth’s formation, inspired by the worlds found in ASCC’s museums. From the formation of ecosystems and living creatures, to prehistoric times, to man and the development of his culture, the mapping impressively told of the transience and change of all living things. Also thematized was the technological progress in science, which goes hand in hand with the progress of human civilization, resulting in artificial intelligence.
