Six national and international artist studios envelop the Berlin TV Tower in a spectacular display of colors, shapes, and emotions. Magic Innovations, Lumine Projections, RawScope Vision, Mary Gouldsbrough, relative.berlin, and The Fox, The Folks bring the iconic silhouette of the tower to life with a burst of vibrant patterns, pulsating shapes, and imaginative animations.A glowing symbol high above the city’s rooftops for everything that connects us!
2025
Under the theme “Share your Light – Express Yourself”, the Berlin TV Tower turned into a stage for avant-garde artworks. The artists – Illuminos, Henry Hu, Sabine Burchard & Kilian Feusi, Hotaru Visual Guerilla, Pirate Pixie, and Vanessa Cardui – were invited to make use of its unique shape to create hypnotic illusions as well as abstract and imaginative animations, transforming it into a dynamic light sculpture – a true beacon of creativity.
2024
Under the theme “Share your Light – Express Yourself,” the TV Tower became a stage for avant-garde artworks by Kurbas Production, studio eigengrau, Pani Pawlosky, MOMAP Studio, Jérémy Oury & Captain Energy, turning the building into a dynamic light sculpture. The artists were invited to use its unique shape to create hypnotic illusions and imaginative animations, transforming the tower into a beacon of creativity: a visual spectacle that brings dreams and visionary ideas to life, illuminating the Berlin sky.
2023
A total of six artist teams from six countries transformed Germany’s tallest building, the Berlin TV Tower, into a radiant landmark full of “Colours of Life” as part of our Festival of Lights Award 2023.
2022
2022, seven artists from five countries presented their artistic interpretations of the festival motto “Vision of our Future” on Germany’s tallest building, the Berlin TV Tower. They were personal perspectives of the different nationalities on global future topics such as technology and innovation, nature and sustainability as well as the world community.
2021
In 2021, Germany’s tallest building glowed entirely in the light of the future and technology. Together we are strong, but even stronger with the technology we create. Together with The Climate Pledge, the Festival of Lights presented the “Future Vision Award”. The three international artist teams Les Ateliers Nomad, Clockwork and George Berlin showed their video mappings on the topics of science, sustainability and climate protection. 2018
The FoL Award under the motto “Let’s create a better tomorrow” was hosted by E.ON. 18 artists from seven European countries submitted their entries interpreting the motto. All winners of the preliminary vote competed against each other in a final on the Berlin TV tower during the festival period and presented their region.
