In 2025, Sofia remained a pioneer in digital art, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy a world-renowned open-air light art festival in beautiful Bulgaria. From May 8 to 11, 2025, the LUNAR Festival of Lights took place in Sofia for the fourth time.

This unique art festival enchanted the city center with exciting 3D mapping projections and light installations. The light installations, created by artists from around the world, were on display free of charge on all four festival evenings—from Thursday through Sunday, from 9:00 p.m. to midnight each night. Groundbreaking works of art were created specifically for the capital’s most iconic buildings, parks, and squares.
