The Guestlings Take Over the Konzerthaus

With the interactive installation “Guestlings” by artist Tom Braunschedel, the facade of the Konzerthaus at Gendarmenmarkt turns into a massive, digital join-in project: Using a QR code, you can design your own avatar on your smartphone in no time and send it directly into the projection, where it becomes part of a lively, constantly changing world. The characters wander across the architecture, meet, and interact with one another. The more people join in, the denser, more colorful, and more dynamic the artwork becomes—creating a giant, digital guestbook for the festival.

Listen to My Love

This charming 3D video mapping show by Tom Braunschedel tells a heartwarming story about the power of love. A small, lively animated character falls in love with a voice on the balcony. Pulling out all the stops with a succession of different instruments, he tries to win her heart—until in the end, all he has left is his own honest voice. An artistic blend of 2D animation and 3D effects that makes the facade of the Konzerthaus dance to the beat of the music.

Facade Staging “Paint What You Love”

During the Festival of Lights, the Konzerthaus at Gendarmenmarkt once again transforms into a very special gallery. On its facade, children show what truly matters to them in life, staying true to the motto “Paint What You Love.” Among them are children, teenagers, and young adults supported by the Björn Schulz Foundation who painted their favorite motifs. Whether favorite toys, pets, or colorful patterns, the drawings make the building shine with countless little moments of joy. The result is a vibrant symbol of pure life appreciation right in the heart of the city.
